Workspace Setup
SSO/SAML

SSO/SAML enables you to sync your users and groups to Shade and maintain an easy sign in process for your team. Typical customers integrate Okta or Azure AD with Shade to properly manage users and enable one single type of access.

Configuring SAML

Once you create a workspace (see more details about that here) - you can head to the workspace settings and the SAML settings and configure SAML.

💡

Make sure that you copy the ACL and properly set your domain - without these values being correct, Shade is unable to validate your SAML configuration and it will be incorrect.

Copying XML Metadata

Shade uses the SAML XML metadata to properly configure your workspace SAML and SSO - you can see specific examples with a variety of providers such as Google, Azure AD, Okta, OneSignal in other sections.
